Obituary

19-2-1949 – 1-6-2026. Allan passed courageously surrounded by family on June 1, 2026, aged 77 years. Beloved husband and soulmate of Dianne, much loved father and father-in-law of Fiona and Sam, Sally and Chris, Joanne, and Hannah. Devoted Grandad of Lilith, and Louis. A celebration of Allan’s life will be held at Westpark, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Saturday, June 6, at 2.00pm.

Due to roadworks, Wairakei Road is one-way between Breens Road and Roydvale Avenue, making access to Westpark available to west bound traffic only. Please allow extra travel time.

Allan and I started work together at the Invercargill Telephone Exchange in December 1963. Early on I had a car and we travelled together on occasional weekends, dropping him of at Balfour on the way to my parents at Waikaka. During this time Allan got a transfer to the Post Office Engineering branch. After this transfer I lost contact with him. Dianne, Allan was a very good friend. My best wishes to you and your family.
