Catherine ‘Merle’ Merle Grayburn Thomson

On September 11, 2025, passed away peacefully, at Bethesda Care Home, Bishopdale, aged 96 years. Much loved wife of the late Arthur, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Murray and Philippa (Melbourne), Ian and Bronwyn (Sydney). Cherished grandmother to Matthew and Sarah, Richard, and Hannah Frankel, Elizabeth and Jordan Summerfield, great-grandmother to Chloe, and friend to many. A memorial service to celebrate Merle’s life will be held in St James Church, 750 Harewood Road, Harewood, October 8, at 1.30pm, followed by afternoon tea.
