David ‘Dave’ William Arrowsmith

On July 19, 2025, after a courageous battle, aged 73 years. Cherished husband and best friend, for 53 years, of Lynne. Adored and respected Dad of Simon, Paul, and Chris, and doting grandfather of Jasmine, and Amelie. Very much loved son of Alice, and siblings Gina, Sue, Carol, Alison and Gill, and Linda and Bill (deceased), and loved by all his nephews and nieces, and his extended family here and abroad. My sincere thanks to Teddy Woo (Neurology), David Gibbs (Oncology), for their dedication to Dave’s care, to Gina and Nicki for being by my side throughout, and mostly my thanks to Catherine (The Great) Palmer from Nurse Maude whose friendship, support and guidance in Dave’s final days gave us strength. We will never forget you.

A celebration of Dave’s life, lived to the full, will be held at Westpark, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Tuesday, July 29, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation.
