Obituary

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, peacefully, aged 88 years. Much loved wife of Brian, loved mother and mother-in-law of Simon and Ruth, Claire and Paul, adored grandmother of Olivia and Ben; Danielle and Kayla. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Elizabeth Davis, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held at Oaklands, corner Halswell Junction and Wigram Roads, Halswell, on Thursday, July 31, at 2.30pm, followed by a private cremation.

I shared days tramping with Liz during school holidays from the 70s. I was a teacher. One memory involves Simon too, on the Peninsula. I think Liz had been piggy-backing him. To give her a break I put Simon in my pack, where he sat on top of my lunch. He was still wearing nappies!!
