Obituary

On September 16, 2025, peacefully at Alpine View Care Centre, aged 94 years. Dearly loved husband of Claire, loved father and father-in-law of Hugh and Kerrie, Philip and Fukiko, Gerard and Suzie, Guy and Yayoi, loved Grandad of Mayuko and Shinobu, Nicholas and Monique, Anna, Lucy, Kate, and Jonny, Luke and Ivy. The family would like to thank the staff of Alpine View Retirement Village for his care.

I had the privilege of working with Jack from 1989 until his retirement in 1996 at Middleton Williams. He was not only a great boss, but also a wonderful storyteller with a kind heart. I feel grateful for the special memories I have of him, and though I saw him only a few times after his retirement, those moments remain precious. My heartfelt condolences to Claire and the family. Sadly, I am unable to attend his funeral, but my thoughts are with you all.
