Major John Lindsay Chaloner Alabaster

Beloved husband of Elizabeth, adored father and father-in-law of Julie and Anton, Geoff and Jo, Dave and Sharon, and Georgie. Grandad extraordinaire to George, Sam, Kate, Jack, Tabs, Tim, and Aidan. A good man – a volunteer fireman, army engineer, and businessman. He lit his last fire, blew up his last bridge and finally closed-up shop on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
