Obituary

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, unexpectedly at home, aged 64 years. Much loved Dad and father-in-law-to-be of Scott and Beth, and Dallas. Dearly loved son of Lucy and the late Paul, loved brother and brother-in-law of Bob and Heather, and loved uncle of Olivia, and Esther. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Murray Burnett, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A funeral service for Murray will be held in the Cheviot Fire Station, 6 McQueen Road, Cheviot, on Thursday, June 19, at 11.00am, followed by a burial at Homeview Cemetery.

  1. I have great memories of Muzz. A cheerful, fun, chatty good around bloke. Great times at the Cheviot trust, rugby and cricket grounds we had. Fun and laughter that will I remember for ever. Good times. He will be sadly missed. Condolences to the family.

  5. Muzz you was taken far too soon, a great loss to us all. But my word, what a character you was. Thank you for coming into our lives and leaving us with wonderful memories that we will all cherish in our hearts.
