Obituary
On May 7, 2025, passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 81 years. Dearly loved son of the late Ted and Gladys Gimblett, special brother and brother-in-law of Bill and Margaret Gimblett, Pat and Phill Shepherd, Judy and Harold Knight, Barb and George Laney (all deceased), and Sheila Gimblett, Jenny and Raymond McIntosh, and Maxine and Ron Lindsay. Much loved uncle and great-uncle – he loved you all very much. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of Mayfair Retirement Village, and of Christchurch Hospital for their compassionate care of Rex. In lieu of flowers, donations to North Canterbury Riding for the Disabled in memory of Rex would be appreciated, and may be made online at rda.org.nz.
