On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, aged 65 years, we were deeply saddened to lose the man who filled our lives with so much laughter and joy. A much loved husband of Sally, and Dad of Daniel, Savannah, and Celena. Beloved son of Nick (deceased) and Neda, and brother of Tom. A great man who was endlessly loved by his friends and family. Tony, we wanted you to stay a few more years, but we are at peace letting your soul race away. Tonyâs life will be celebrated in the Silks Lounge, Level 2, Addington Events Centre, 75 Jack Hinton Drive, Addington, on Tuesday, May 19, at 2.00pm
Dear Sally, Neda and Family Sending our deepest condolences & love to you all, from all the Bartlett family - formerly Tony's next door neighbours in Goodman Street. Ted, John, Tony & families here in NZ and David and families over in Australia are thinking of you at this sad time. John Bartlett Taranaki NZJohn & Glenys Bartlett
I'm so sorry to hear of Tony's passing. I met him 24 years ago. He commented on my bosses Bichon poodle. He said my dogs would like him. As a dog person I asked what do you have. He smiled and replied Greyhounds. This was before rehoming groups in New Zealand. I literally put my hands on my cheeks and said I want one! I went to see two pups. A year later after my Beardie passed I phoned Tony and asked do you have anything available. I picked up Sassy Friday night. Tony has absolutely " ruined" me. To date I have had 8 Greyhounds and met some of best friends through Greyhounds. Thank you Tony for entrusting me with Sassy. RIPDonna O'Malley
