Obituary

Died on January 23, 2026, after a long illness, surrounded by family and friends, aged 70 years. Loved husband of Charlene, father and father-in-law of Rob and Jasmine; Alice and Richard, Granddad of Horace and Hyacinth, brother of Denise, Dave, Gary, and Michelle, son of William and Margaret. Heartfelt thanks to good friends Petra, Penny, and Katherine for their care of Wayne, and to the staff at Nurse Maude Hospice. The funeral service for Wayne will be held at Oaklands, corner Halswell Junction and Wigram Roads, Halswell, on Wednesday, January 28, at 10.30am. Private cremation to follow.

My deepest sympathies to Wayne's family and friends. I worked in Dunedin as a former manager at Bivouac Outdoor and had the greatest respect for Wayne as a person and as the company's head.
