William “Maurice” Maurice Ward

On August 20, 2026, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, with family by his side, in his 100th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Nancy, much loved Dad and father-in-law of Stuart and Lillian, Kevin and Frances, and the late Barbara, Lance and Mary, cherished Grandad of Hayley and Erroll, Lara and Greg; Martha and Simon, Isaac and Brittany, Angus; Olivia and Gareth, Emma and Aaron, Georgina and Dave, and Sam and Natalie, loved Great-Grandad of Varraconn, Korvus; Kohen, Kyran, Mika; Gwen, Abe; Aubrey; Blake, Arthur; Leo, Ted; Braxton, Taylor; Mia-Rose, Sebastian, and Felicity. A celebration of Maurice’s life will be held at Westpark, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Wednesday, August 26, at 10.00am, followed by interment at Avonhead Cemetery at 12.30pm.
