The Trinity Quarter
Built using stone recovered from Christchurch’s Trinity Church following the earthquakes, the Trinity Quarter is an informal area on the northern side of Under the Rata Memorial Garden. Sheltered and quietly understated, it offers a relaxed setting with a variety of options for remembering and honouring loved ones.
Ivy Wall
Beautifully handcrafted, the Ivy Wall features a wrought-iron ivy sculpture winding across its surface. Discreet niches hold the interred ashes, each sealed with matching stone and finished with an inscribed copper leaf, creating a personal and lasting tribute.
Memory Tree
The Memory Tree offers families a place to create a personal tribute to someone they love. Heart-shaped leaves made from copper are individually inscribed and secured on the tree. Set within the peaceful surroundings of the garden, it provides a lasting point of connection and somewhere to return for quiet remembrance.

With seating and space for gathering, the Atrium has been designed as a space for personalised services. The memorial garden offers the opportunity to hold small private committals, unveilings, or memorial services followed by refreshments.

Individual niches which allow ash interments to be securely held above ground and sealed with a granite plaque, providing a generous space for engraving options.
Raised Garden
Ashes can be placed into the raised garden areas directly behind a beautifully polished recumbent granite stone, with capacity for wording and a photo or graphics.
Family Legacy Wall
The Family Legacy Wall is an impressive example of creativity and continuity. Each vault provides space for up to ten interments and is sealed with a large polished granite plaque for engraving.
