09/01/1935 – 29/04/2024. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Steve Wells, on April 29, 2024, in his 90th year, at Ashwood Park, Blenheim. Dearly loved husband of Janet; deeply loved father of Robert and Karen and father-in-law to Mirla Edmundson and Murray Davies. Cherished Grandad to Megan and husband Matt, Nicholas and partner Coran, and Eamon and wife Philippa. Great-Grandad to Genevieve, Carmen and Marlo. Much loved by his extended Wells and Smith nieces and nephews, and his late sister and brother Irene and Frank. A special thank you to all the wonderful staff and friends at Ashwood Park who have cared for Dad with love, compassion, respect, and kindness. The family are forever grateful. A celebration of Steve’s life and a funeral service will be held at AvonPark Chapel, corner of Kerrs and Pages Roads, Linwood, Christchurch, on Monday, May 6, at 10.30am, followed by burial at Ruru Lawn Cemetery.
