On Friday, September 1, 2023, in the early hours of the morning, Alan pulled the chocks for the last time sliding into the cockpit of the Pusher, departing to share his stories and experiences with old and new friends. An accomplished and inspirational individual with a passion for boats, hydroplanes, aeroplanes, and trikes. Even late on Thursday night he still wanted to get out of bed to help others.  Loved husband of Kathryn, loved father of Susan, Evan and Fiona, special father-in-law of Penny, awesome Granddad of Greg and Charlotte, Brett and Rowan, and Lucy. He was also a Granddad to Steffan, Ashley, and elated to have met his great-grandchild Olsa this year. Survived by youngest sister Alison and brother-in-law Ralph from Masterton. We will celebrate his legacy on what would have been his 94^th year, during Labour weekend.
