On July 23, 2023, passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 82 years.  Dearly loved husband of Elizabeth, treasured father and father-in-law of Karen, Cindy and Brian Smith, and Andrew and Yulia, adored pop of Gemma, and Dylan; Alexander, James, Anastasia, and Benjamin, loved great-pop of Tara.
