Passed away with his family beside him on Friday, March 27, 2026, aged 63 years. Dearly loved husband of Sonya, much loved Dad and father-in-law of Josh, and Logan and Josie, Granddad of Sophie, Harper, Aaliyah, and Peyton, loved son of Robert “Joe” (deceased) and Heather Rodgers, loved brother and brother-in-law of Geoffrey and Karen, the late Kevin, and Julie and Dean Nicol, and a loved uncle of his nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Richard Tapper, Greg Fraser, and Dougal McClean, and all the staff of Christchurch ED and the Respiratory Ward for their care of David and the family.
