On July 18, 2022, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, aged 85 years.

Dearly loved husband of Margaret.  Much loved father and father-in-law of Lee, Katrina and Darrell Smith, and Sally and Bruce Hinkley. Treasured Grandad of Tom, Kyle, and Emma; Tara, Vaughn, and Reed; and Eva. Great Grandad of Bazil, Jack, and Hazel.  Loved son of the late Thomas (Stuart) and Eva Paterson.  Loved brother and brother-in-law of Tom (deceased) and Anne (deceased), Leon and Neroli, Trevor and Joy (deceased), John and Jill Dwyer, and Maureen and Frank van Koeverden. Loved by his nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
