On December 24, 2025, passed away peacefully at home, aged 87 years. Dearly loved husband of Rita, much loved father and father-in-law of Rebecca and Tony, Matthew and Meredith, loved grandfather of Alexander and Alice, Ieuan and Lizzie, Nerys and Joel, and Matthew and Alicia; Lucy, and Bryn, loved great-grandfather of Teddy, and Maisie.  Treasured son of Ossie and Iris (deceased). Loved brother and brother-in-law of Ann and David, Rhoda and the late Elwyn.

A service to celebrate Gareth’s life will be held at Oaklands, corner Halswell Junction and Wigram Roads, Halswell, on Wednesday, December 31, at 2.30pm, followed by private cremation.
