Deepest condolences Judith, Stuart, Fiona and families on the sad loss of Duncan. Being an Ashburton girl, Fiona my year, I remember the Doig’s in the swimming pool were amazing. Moved to Christchurch and meet with Duncan again, as two of my children, Andrew and then Kate, both had the privilege of being taught by Duncan at St Andrew’s College. Duncan was indeed an inspiration to everybody he touched. Duncan knew how to teach boys, knew that a standard classroom environment was not ideal for a relaxed classroom, so regularly Duncan would tell the boys, out to the field and run laps - what a difference it made in their lives. Both Andrew & Kate loved the year they had with Duncan and were both deeply sadden to hear of his passing. Love to all and God bless.
