After a courageous struggle with dementia, Lis died on June 4, 2025, aged 79 years. Loved sister of Rob Walker, wife of Gary for 58 years, mother of Mark, Michael, and Stephen, grandmother of Paloma, Victoria, Michael, Jana, and Tui. In accordance with Lis’s wishes, a private cremation will be held. The family thanks the Christchurch Police, Search and Rescue and so many individuals who searched for Lis when she went missing. Thanks also to Fiona Lothian and the team at Dementia Canterbury. Lis will be missed terribly but remembered warmly by family and so many friends.
