(Paul Harris Fellow – Sapphire) Passed peacefully on Saturday night, aged 81 years,  surrounded by family at Nazareth House following a short illness. Dearly loved husband of the late Alrita, loved father and father-in-law to Vivienne and Mike, and Peter and Nicola. Loved and adored Grandad of Sophia, Isabelle, Benjamin, and Oliver. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Blanche and Harold , John, Ngaire and Jim, Bobbi and Ken (all deceased), Yvonne and Jim (deceased), Claude (deceased) and Carolyn,  and Raewyn and brother-in-law to Alrita’s sisters and brothers in South Africa. Loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Loved by many friends and Rotarians in New Zealand and around the world.
