Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 4, surrounded by her family. Dearly loved wife of Grant, and an exceptional Mum to Hayden, and Ashley. Cherished mother-in-law to Amie, and Nathan, and fondly known as “Grandma Giraffe” to Jack, Harrison, Sadie, Ziggy and Billie—a title she wore with pride and joy. Ilze’s strength and resolve were unwavering to the very end, and she left this world on her own terms—as always—with grace and courage. Her family are deeply grateful to the team at St George’s Cancer Care as well as Nurse Maude for their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Graci Foundation would be appreciated. In keeping with her wishes, Ilze was farewelled privately, surrounded by those she loved most.
