On January 5, 2025, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 93 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Patricia, much loved and respected father of Kay, Deb, Rob, and Scott. Proud grandfather of Bridget, George, Jane, Jack (deceased), Alex, Jessica, Vincent, and great-grandfather of Gus, Poppy, Charlie, Stella, Annie, Zac, and Ilaria. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late John Ballantyne, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. Respecting John’s wishes, a private family funeral will be held.
