On January 29, 2026, passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 83 years, father of Tony, Jackie, Ray, Steve, and the late Ricky, Grandad to all his grandchildren, brother of Trevor, and will be missed by his much loved dog Basil.

In accordance with John’s wishes a private interment has taken place.
