On February 11, 2026, Melva passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 94 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Mervyn, much loved Mum of Marilyn, Christine, Tony, Yvonne, Elizabeth, Tom, Shelley, and Andrew, loved mother-in-law, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and Great-Great-Grandma.
A talented pianist, who shared her love of music with her community, bringing joy to many.
