On March 23, 2026, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of Shirley, and the late Anne, treasured father and father-in-law of Grant and Frances, Kim and Andrew, loved Grumps of his lucky grandchildren, much loved by all the other members of his family. Special thanks to the staff at Kevin Hickman Retirement Village and Christchurch Hospital for all the care given to Mel.
