On Tuesday 26^th of July, peacefully at Avonlea Rest Home, aged 94 years. Talented homemaker and gardener, with a keen interest in politics. Dearly loved wife of the late Graham, loved and respected mother and mother-in-law of Peter White (Melbourne), Bev White (Sydney), Sue and Chris Hooker (Christchurch), Barbara and Paul Frankish (Auckland), Linda White and Richard Edmundson (Christchurch), Caroline and Michael Morris (Kuriwao), Chris White and Ann Edmundson (Christchurch) and Michael White and Jan Durham (Havelock North), much loved grandma of her 18 grandchildren, and great-grandma of her 8 great-grandchildren. Loved older sister and sister-in-law of Norman and Christine Ferguson (Sydney). Special thanks and gratitude to the staff at Avonlea, and previously Ilam Lifecare, for their loving care and support of Maree. Maree was not one for frills or fuss, and at her request, a cremation, and a private family gathering will take place.
