Dear Helen and family. We are currently on the Gold Coast wth the Compton’s having been affected by the cyclone which confined us to barracks. We were saddened to learn of Chris’s passing. I am currently President of Riccarton Rotary and regret not being at the funeral but I did watch it online. I pass on the Club’s deepest regret at the loss of one of its really popular and loved members. Secondly, I was the Vicar’s Warden when Chris was appointed to our clergy team at St Peter’s Yaldhurst parish. He, and you, were a valuable asset - much loved and respected.. your contribution to Alpha was outstanding. His taking of the one of the Nurse Maude services stands out in my memory when he managed to get old car in the porch. So sorry we couldn’t be at the service to acknowledge this Man of God.. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. Corin and Bobbity ( and also the Comptons)
