(Formerly of Taumarunui): Passed away at Charles Upham Retirement Village, Rangiora, with family at her side, on Wednesday, 12 June, 2024, aged 83 years. Beloved wife and soulmate of the late John, dearly loved Mum of Glen, Sandie, and Brett, and their partners Deb, Stu, and Chelsea. Cherished “Nanna Vel” of grandchildren Rachael, Joe and Leah, Jaskier (Rhianna), and Keira, Jasmine and Amelie, and great-grandchildren Javan, Zara, Stevie, Luca and Heath. Sincere thanks to Vel’s wonderful nursing and support staff who have also become dear friends.
