On Friday, June 16, 2023, peacefully at Nurse Maude Hospice, surrounded by her family, aged 71 years. Much loved wife of Ivan for 46 years. Dearly loved and cherished Mum and mother-in-law of Barbara and Wade, Regan and Giselle, Gina and Rowan. Very treasured Nana of Freya, Harriet, Walter, Abbigail, and Ada. Highly respected and loved sister of Peter, Michael (deceased), Cathy, and Brenda. Loved sister-in-law of Lorraine. Joy was a wonderful and caring friend to many. A memorial service in celebration of Joy’s life will be held in our Rangiora Chapel, Wai-mana, 92 Kippenberger Avenue, Rangiora, on Thursday, June 22, at 2.30pm. As were Joy’s wishes, colourful clothing is to be worn (no black tops) – it’s a celebration after all.
