Born in Ōtaki on 31 October 1934, Campbell was the son of Leon and Freda. Beloved husband of the late Carole Wakelin for 67 years. They were a pair, inseparable throughout their lives, a true love story. Only a few months since her passing, they are now together again in the arms of Jesus.

As a husband, father, and minister, he gave his life in service to others, spending many years caring for communities across New Zealand and Australia. Much loved Dad to Darren, Sheryl, and Sharon and partners. Loved Grandad and Great-Grandad to family across New Zealand and Australia.
