On Thursday, August 13, 2026, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 95 years. Beloved husband of Jenny, dearly loved father of Anna, Chris, Bridget, and Tim, much loved father-in-law of Anna, David, and Sarah, adored grandfather of Olivia and Edward, Henry, and Ben; Tom, Tim, James, and  George; Lottie, and Will. A special thank you to all the staff of Ward 14, Christchurch Hospital, who gave wonderful care to Richard.
