On July 18, 2026, peacefully at Elmswood Retirement Village, aged 91 years. Loved husband of Chiine, father to Phil and Lucy, Jude and Ben, Minami and Victor, and Wataru and Lu Wei, and grandfather to Ella, Rose, Asher, Rei, Zein, Jeremy, and Emi. In lieu of flowers, donations to Forest and Bird would be greatly appreciated and may be made online at forestandbird.org.nz.  A private cremation will be held, followed by a celebration of Dave’s life at Westpark, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Saturday, July 25, at 2.00pm.
