Late of Lyttelton and Gallagher Brothers Steel Fabricators. Passed surrounded by loving family.  Loving husband of Jennifer, dearly loved Da of Mary and Duncan, and Tracy, a million times adored Grandad of Finbarr and Sophie, Ciaran and Hannah, Madeline and Aaden, Laura and George, special GG of Niamh and Florence. Loved twin brother of the late Kevin, loved brother and brother-in-law to Stanley, Gillian, and Mike, loved uncle and great uncle, and loved father of his fur child, Mac.

The Twins

Two brothers came as one began,

Same blood, same face, same kind of man.

Bound by more than mirrored skin—

They carried the same fierce fire within.

They worked with hands that shaped their days,

Through dust and sweat and honest ways.

No road was easy, none was wide,

But they walked it shoulder to shoulder in spirit and pride.

They gave their strength so others could stand,

Built futures steady with calloused hands.

Sacrifice was the language they knew—

Quietly spoken, deeply true.

They asked for little, gave their all,

Stood like timber, proud and tall.

Rough diamonds cut by life’s demand,

Yet soft in heart, and quick to lend a hand.

The world was not always kind to them,

But they answered with grit again and again.

Never judgmental, never cruel—

Just men who lived by a simpler rule:

Work hard, love fiercely, hold your ground,

And leave this life with honour found.

Now both are gone, their voices still,

Their absence felt beyond the hill.

First one, then the other too—

As if one heart called the second through.

Yet what they built remains alive:

In every branch where family thrives,

In every lesson, every scar,

In the people we became because of who they are.

Their legacy is not in wealth alone,

But in the love and strength they’ve sown.

And though they’ve left this earthly frame,

Our family stands because they came.
