1946-2026 Passed away surrounded by family at Waipapa Christchurch Hospital, just shy of his eightieth birthday, at 3.28pm on September 12, 2026. Dearly loved husband of Margaret Coory. Cherished son of the late Michael and Dorothy (Dot) Coory, and brother to Brendan. Loving brother-in-law, father, and father-in-law to his whānau who will miss him deeply. Devoted Grandfather (G’Dad, Jidi) and great-grandfather to his many adoring mokopuna. Special friend of many in Little River. He filled our lives with love and magic, and we will hold him close forever. Many thanks to the staff at Waipapa Christchurch Hospital for their care of Lew. A service to celebrate Lew will be held at Westpark, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Thursday, September 17, at 2.00pm.  As per Lew’s wishes, a private cremation will follow.
