Our vibrant, spirited, and sometimes too social friend passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, at Summerset at Avonhead Retirement Village, aged 78 years.  Vivacious Mum and Granny B of Kate and Craig, Jonty and Celine, Georgia and Ethan, Molly and Jack; Shaun and Candi, Jett, Xavier, Jonah, King, and Hugo; Tony and Mei, and Harrison.  A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful, caring, and respectful team at Summerset at Avonhead who have looked after Mum over the last six years.

A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held in the Tui Room at St Barnabas, 8 Tui Street, Fendalton, on Saturday, March 28, at 2.00pm.  Please RSVP to craig.katef@gmail.com by March 20. Mum would love you to wear something bright!
