On May 31, 2026, passed away at Christchurch Hospital, aged 82 years. Dearly and much loved husband of the late Jeanette, loving father and father-in-law of Dean and Tracy, and Craig and Rebekah, loved Granddad of James, Sophie, and Kieran; Stuart, Connor, Lachlan, and Hamish, and their partners Milly, Sam, Grace, Georgia, Olivia, and Jim and treasured great-grandfather of Genevieve, and Alfie, and a much loved brother and brother-in-law of Shirley and Roy. The family would like to thank the caregivers who have helped Russell over the last two years, the district nursing staff, and the staff at Christchurch Hospital for their care given to the family.
