Passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Ngaio Marsh Rest Home, aged 82 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Gerald Charles King.  Treasured and devoted mother of Caroline, and Thomas, loved mother-in-law of Ryan, cherished Nana of Rita, and an adored friend to people throughout the world, wherever she wandered.  Victoria lived with courage, kindness and an enduring sprit of adventure. Her warmth touched people everywhere she went, and her love will remain with us always. The family extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Ngaio Marsh for their love, kindness and care shown to Vicky during her time with them. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Vicky King, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545.  The funeral service celebrating Victoria’s life will be held at St Gregory’s Catholic Church,  26 Cotswold Avenue, Bishopdale, on Thursday, August 27, at 1.30pm, followed by a burial at Yaldhurst Cemetery. All who knew and loved Victoria are warmly invited to attend.
