Betti was a decent caring woman. A good mother and. wife. I never heard her say an unkind thing. Fifty years ago like it was yesterday, on my way to school I would walk into the kitchen she would be reading THE CHRISTCHURCH STAR SUN from cover to cover. Dishes done and washing machine spinning.
