On September 22, 2023, it is with heartfelt sadness we advise our much loved, beautiful and caring Fay passed away, surrounded by family at Nurse Maude Hospital, aged 73 years. Best mate and beloved wife of Paul for 51 years. Adored mother and mother-in-law of James and Carly, Simon and Laura, much loved and cherished Grandma of Anna, Ryan, Lucy, Connor, and Sophie. Daughter of the late Robert and Hilda Alexander, sister-in-law of lan and Mary Alexander (Fielding). Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to Nurse Maude staff, Dr. Colin Ding, and Christchurch Hospital Oncology Department for the support we received during Fay’s battle. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude’s Hospice Rebuilding Fund, in memory of Fay, would be appreciated and may be made online at nursemaude.org.nz.
