I was saddened by the news of Neil’s passing and was unwell at the time of his service, so I’m using this opportunity to send my warmest condolences to his family. I knew him through the music community in Christchurch and always enjoyed his warm, unassuming presence at folk events and evenings. He hid his light under a bushel, a lovely man with such a multi-dimensional life history. He loved and lived life well and long. May he rest in peace. Eileen Reid
