With great sadness we wish to inform you that Pete passed away on Wednesday night. He was an amazing man with an incredible smile and twinkle in his eye. His soulmate Vina and their daughter BJ are heart broken, but so thankful for the time they shared with him. We wish to thank Dylan Turner, at Oncology, Christchurch Hospital, and Dr Julia Holyoake and her amazing team at Nurse Maude Hospice, also Helen O’Connor his Palliative Care Nurse from Access for their care and devotion to making him as comfortable as possible. A celebration of his life will be at the Tai Tapu Community Centre on Friday, July 7 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Nurse Maude Hospice would be a thoughtful way to remember him, and may be made directly online at nursemaude.org.nz.
