On October 23, 2023, Rex passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home, aged 82 years. Much loved son of the late Cecil and Ada Nelson, much loved brother of Daphne (deceased), Lurline, Bill, and Phyllis (both deceased), brother-in-law of the late Syd, and Fraser, much loved uncle of Jenny, Murray, John, and Faye, and a very good friend of many.
