Passed in his 90^th year on the evening of Friday 31st March, 2023, with his adoring wife Pamela at his side, concluding 67 years of marriage. Rodney was the devoted father of Karen, Julie and the late Donald, and dutiful father-in-law of Paul Anink, Paul Brown and Lyndal Irvine. He is further survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.  Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Rodney Irvine, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. The family will farewell Rodney at a closed, private gathering of the clan along with life-long friends.

The proper function of man is to live, not exist.

He did not waste his days trying to prolong them.
